Every person on your team will get a login to the Little Justice Leaders Affirming Schools Program portal. They can access the community, the professional development, the curriculum, and additional resources through the portal. This also allows you to track who has completed which lessons and trainings.

When you become a member school, we handle the rest. Here's what will happen:

1. You provide us with a list of team members who need access, and - voila - like magic, they'll have access sent right to their email.
2. Tech problems? No problem. Educators can come straight to us, so you won't spend any time onboarding.
3. Use the resources! Just like that, teachers can start using the resources and attending trainings. We will also talk about how the program should be tailored to the needs of your school!

Justice and belonging education has become a polarizing issue, but more and more families are demanding that schools teach kids about the real issues of our world. Being a school that is leading in justice will set you apart and help you build an inclusive, affirming school community. Not to mention: kids are taking in messages about justice all the time. If you aren't helping them navigate this learning, kids can develop fear, confusion, bias, and even hatred. When you do talk to students about these topics, they learn to value diversity, ask questions, and speak up for what is right. These are sensitive issues. We get it. All of our resources created specifically for preschool-8th graders by education experts, and our priority is to ensure they are developmentally-appropriate. Our lessons allow educators to talk about the issues at the level they feel comfortable with – and no more.

Our resources cover a wide range of social justice themes, with a focus on kindness, belonging, and inclusion for all students. The goal is to ensure all students feel affirmed, supported, and valued in the learning space. A diverse curriculum will ensure everyone is represented in the classroom. In age-appropriate ways, we also offer lessons on important topics such as anti-racism, disabilities, religious diversity, environmental sustainability, neurodiversity, and so much more.

We get it. Sometimes, you might feel your community just isn't ready to learn about a certain topic. Or, maybe your district or state has restrictions on certain topics. We always offer alternative lessons to ensure you can engage in this work while staying within legal and district requirements. 

This is such an important question because you should be careful about who you get your social justice content from. Here's how we make sure our materials are accurate, diverse, and rooted in lived experience:

1. We work with educator-activists who are fighting for justice AND have lived experience on the topic. So for example, if our resources is about disabilities, we'll work with disabled activists to create the content.
2. We work with multiple content leaders. Even within any identity group, there is a huge amount of diversity in thought and experience. We work with multiple content leaders to ensure we're representing a diverse array of perspectives within the community.
3. We draw on multiple resources for support, and we point our subscribers to those additional resources as well.
4. We partner with some of the most well-known and well-respected activists, educators, and changemakers around. Check out our about page to learn about some of our incredible partners and read what they have to say about our work.
5. We're open to feedback! We don't think we're experts on every single social justice topics (nobody is!). If we miss the mark, we invite our community to let us know, and we'll do everything we can to fix it.

Many schools will draw from their curriculum, DEI, and PD budgets to invest in this programming. Other schools use grant funding. We are happy to talk with you about your budget needs. Depending on your school size and needs, pricing typically starts at $5,000 per school. After you apply, we'll schedule a call for you to learn about the program options for your school!
